First DJ Training Session a Success!

Last Saturday, The Canalside Radio held its very first DJ training session — and it was a great start to building our on-air team!

We welcomed a group of enthusiastic volunteers who are interested in becoming Canalside Radio DJs and helping bring community radio to life in our area. The session covered the basics of how our station works, what it means to be an on-air host, and how volunteers can get involved behind the scenes.

Participants got a hands-on look at our studio setup and broadcasting equipment, and learned the fundamentals of running a live show — from using microphones and cueing music to understanding station policies and FCC guidelines.

Most importantly, the day captured the spirit of what Canalside Radio is all about: community, creativity, and giving local voices a place to be heard.
